Cabalgata de los Reyes Magos 2015

Jan 6, 2015
Yesterday was a special day for Spanish children, as is the day when come ¨los Reyes Magos de Oriente¨ - Three Kings who bring a lot of presents for them. This is a very traditional day here in Spain, even more traditional as Christmas Day, because years ago children have been receiving gifts just on this night from 5th to 6th of January. Now almost all of them have presents for both days, even for all three if taking into account New Year´s Eve.

The celebration of this day is so big as there are a lot of people waiting for these Kings who are passing by on the main streets of Barcelona, Madrid, and all the Spanish cities, they bring candies for children. It is great to see so many happy faces, children are waiting for a miracle, and they really think that these Kings exist. So, you can imagine as for them is likely to see a Santa Claus on the street or any other important character.

Yesterday we went to watch the Cavalcade and the parade on one of the main street of Barcelona, Via Laietana and made some pictures, met some friends and spent really great time together. I would like that Damian will love this day as do other children here in Spain, so I think that if we will go each year, it will be like a habit that he will wait to go with us next years, and maybe he will like this days as Spanish children do.

Below you can see some images of this marvelous parade.
